For everyone that didn't know EHD has been killer deer here in Pa since June and surrounding states. In mid Aug. I had some of my deer die along with my friends herd as well. Not know what was killing the deer we had the department of Ag. get involve. Soon the game commision became involved because we were finding dead deer everywhere in the wild also. Final the game commision has come clean and in formed us EHD was here and killing deer all over. They did not want people to know due to possible decrease in license sales. We lost some awsome bucks that just dropped your jaw. One of the buck had 59 points, 300+ B&C and weighted 498lbs. Total deer lost was just under a hundred. Years of breeding massive horns now comes to an end.

Ravaging areas east of me here in Hunterdon too. Mostly Somerset and Morris Counties. Unbelievable mortality percentage. Fish and Wildlife initially sent a biologist to take tissue samples from one I put down at work and said strain 2 may be 40%....it's been a hell of alot higher than that where I work. |

That one local Hoyt? That would be the first I've seen out this way. OUt east = BAD. I think mortality % ran well over 70% or more near work.....unbelievable. |
