Had six hung on one piece for coyote within 25 yards of one another. This small edge makes the most sense for the yotes to cross on this 150 acre piece. Seems silly only hanging six, but it's all about the lay of the land with snares. 3rd nite they hit. One was blown up at the lock pulled straight. The one right next to that spent some quality time on the place. Mowed down every bush, tree within the catch circle...nothing but bloody stumps from him chewing the stuff right to the ground. Finally made his way through the 5/64 1x19. Reset the two blown up runs yesterday and damned if they didnt come back through last night. Hit the same trail 15 feet away from the other catch circle and blew up the swivel. Never had one do this before. Actually pulled the stop through the swivel unraveling the swivel. |
