I love when the warm weather comes. Turkey season, and of course groundhogs. The enemy. Judo point season. Guess the yardage and shoot. It's a great way to build confidence for the up coming deer season. I shot one tonight. I could see him out past the barn, and the sneak was on. I slid up the outside of the barn, and peeked around the corner. I quick guessed 55 yards, split the pins, and sent a arrow. Thud! He started scrambling for a hole with my arrow hanging out the back. I wanted the arrow, so I started running too. He was faster than me. He took my arrow down a hole in the tree line. DAMM! Oh well, it happens. It's convenient when they bury themselves, no muss, no fuss. I love this time of year. |

nice shooting. worth an arrow every now and again. Only been out once, but got the boy out on an off day from school for his first turkey hunt. We got lucky with a real nice bird. Priceless moment seeing his eyes when he first spotted the birds coming in. Carp time soon. |

Yeah I had Heather in the blind with me opening morning. I think she is hooked. How bought a picture for the Turkey section? |
