Post subject: | Practice Shooting From The Tree |
Hunting from a tree a lot of bow hunters have experienced a high hit when shooting at a deer that was closer than 20 yards. One of the biggest reasons for this is that the hunter fails to bend at the waist. When you drop your arm, rather than bend at the waist your sight picture changes. Bending at the waist will maintain your form and improve your accuracy. Don't forget, deer tend to pre-load their legs at the shot. This drop can also result in a high hit, so don't be afraid to aim for a heart shot. If the deer drops enough you pinwheel the lungs, and if not, he's still on his way to the freezer. |
