For those of you who hunt in NJ and PA and see deer every day and get upset because they didn't see that 150 class buck they wanted, you're lucky. I've hunted tons and consider myself a good hunter. NH this year in central and northern areas have ha the whitetail herd devastated between hard winters and coyotes. Now this year, there is no acorn crop and it's even harded to find the few deer we have. In addition, he had 25" of snow Saturday into Sunday. I have put a lot of time in the woods and have only seen 5 deer. A doe and a fawn on 2 separate sits and this buck I was lucky enough to take with the bow. I have the smoke pole and bow with me should a brute appear out of range. But tonight it was the Martin Slayer Extreme, GoldTip ProHunter and the GrimReaper that did the trick....Port put me onto the GrimReaper and I can only say thank you. This is an 8pt, roughly 180-190lbs.
