Well, the 2012 season is over and I didn't shoot a bird. I had a great time though.
I took the bow and the video camera a few times, and saw Jakes each time. No big Toms though. My daughter went with me on opening day again. I really enjoyed that. In a last ditch effort, The Coyote Kid and I tried a different spot with the shotguns. I was able to get the birds to answer me, but they were on the other side of the highway. So, no luck. Still I had fun.

I should have shot one of the Jakes. I don't shoot enough turkeys to be trophy hunting. Maybe next year.
