Well here we are another opening day of shotgun 12/3/2012. I go to the farm I hunt often! I bring my buddy Gary ( just passed his hunter education class ) so I figure I'd take him to the farm to see him get a buck!! Well we sit the a.m. hear a lot of shooting but nothing for us!! We get down around 11am, oh can't forget PORT was with us too. We go get breakfast/lunch, after which I was ready for a NAP lol. So we get up in the stands around 2pm I think. Ummmmmm the afternoon starts getting later and the shooting starts up again in the surrounding farms. I see deer running MILES away but none heading here!! Next think its around 450pm PORT texts me we only got 10 mins of hunting left, so I was like well that SUCKS. Then I look out in the field and I see a deer, next I see the rack. Ok its a shooter! I turn around so I can steady the gun on a board and I kneel down put the crosshairs on him POW!!!!!! Dropped him. He kicked a little bit and that was all she wrote! Then I called PORT, hey I got a DOE, come check her out!! LOL! So, it was a nice 8pointer I was one happy hunter after that!! Sorry Gary we didn't get you a deer on Monday but we have until Feb!! It was a good day hanging out with my friends!
